TONY MARTIN, CEO, PREVAR
The New Exporter Economy
New Zealand’s track record in innovation was world renowned yet we find ourselves now in a position where according to a recent report our productivity is one of the worst among developed economies and needs serious long-term commitment and investment to turn it around. Innovation is a precursor for productivity but the piece that sits in the middle is successful commercialisation. This tells us we have a challenge to confront which will most likely require some different ways of scaling and commercialising the innovation that is woven into our DNA.
Tony has a background in Sales & Marketing Leadership for food and beverage businesses and previously worked for New Zealand Trade & Enterprise across multiple geographies including roles as New Zealand’s Trade Commissioner/Consul General to Vietnam based in Ho Chi Minh City and Regional Director India, the Middle East & Africa based in Dubai.
