Export Essentials

Export NZ has been appointed a channel partner to support New Zealand Trade and Enterprise’s (NZTE) Export Essentials programme launched last month.

Export Essentials is a two day, intensive workshop series designed to help early-stage exporters learn the fundamentals of becoming a successful export business. It is aimed at small to medium sized businesses that are new to exporting, or want to take their business global.

Export Essentials is based on 10 online guides covering a broad range of topics such as market validation, pricing strategies, selecting the right channel partners, and compliance. The guides are available online along with customer testimonials and case studies to anyone, whether they wish to attend the workshops. For more details visit www.nzte.govt.nz/events/export-essentials-workshops.

The programme has been designed with a real world, practical focus that participants can immediately apply to their business, to increase their chances of export success and minimise the risk of failure.

Matt Wooster, Director Foundation Services at NZTE said, “We are delighted to have ExportNZ on board as a channel partner. Delivering impactful change for aspiring exporters requires collaboration across the whole exporting eco-system with each organisation playing to its strengths. Export NZ members, who have the scar tissue of international business experience, provide a rich vein of knowledge that can support and reinforce the messages and cases studies highlighted in the workshops. Export NZ are also well placed to provide ongoing mentoring and support opportunities for workshop participants.”

Catherine Beard Executive Director of Export NZ says ExportNZ is looking forward to working with NZTE to ensure emerging exporters get great value from these workshops.

“We will be publicising the workshops to our members and reaching into our network of exporters to add ongoing networking and mentoring support,” Catherine Beard said.
