A conference aimed at companies looking to get into the export market or to enhance their existing export business will be held in Palmerston North this month.
The inaugural ExportNZ Central Conference will feature a host of speakers from businesses from the central region that are selling their products around the world and experts in the export field.
It will be on 25 July at the Palmerston North Convention Centre
Speakers include Minister of Trade and Export Growth David Parker, Powershop and Flux Federation founder Ari Sargent, Integration Technologies CEO Chris Deere, ASB Head of Trade Finance Mike Atkins, Fix & Fogg Head of Export & Finance Sarah Sherriff, Tui Brewery Commercial Manager Nick Rogers, Fonterra Senior Management Team Member Mark Piper, Pan Pac Forest Products Managing Director Doug Ducker, Federated Farmers CEO Terry Copeland, among others.
A panel Q&A session will follow each speaker.
ExportNZ Central Executive Officer Steph Gundersen-Reid says the conference is focused on practical tips and proven ideas to grow a business of any size on the international stage.
“This will be more than just a business event – it’ll be an invigorating, high-level experience bringing together some of the central region’s most influential and successful international businesses.
“It will be a real showcase of Kiwi businesses telling their stories about how to achieve great things on the world stage.
“Many businesses in the exporting community try to find their own way, but we believe we can assist them by getting others to share their experiences, ensuring down-to-earth practical advice, and hopefully pointing them in the right direction.
“This will be a fantastic opportunity for any business interested in exporting, currently exporting, or just wanting to learn more about exporting.”
She says ExportNZ Central is delighted at the quality of speakers for the conference.
“We have attracted speakers who have special stories to tell and advice to pass on, so we anticipate there will be a wealth of information for both budding exporters and existing ones.”
