Message from the executive director

As we head into an Easter break that promises to be a good one, exporters might have time to consider some of the good opportunities we outline in this months newsletter.
We cover the latest forward notice of government agencies spending intentions, some market research from Lincoln University for F&B exporters and how to leverage the Rugby World Cup in Japan (go on – you know you want to be there!).

Wishing you all a great Easter.

PrivacyLive forum

The Office Of The Privacy Commissioner are holding a PrivacyLive forum in Auckland on 13 May and Wellington on 17 May, on Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation and what it means for New Zealand businesses. There has been a lot of interest in the GDPR since it came into force last year. Exporters were particularly interested about its possible impact on trade with Europe.

The presentation will be by a privacy and security consultant Caroline Carver. She will also devote some time to discussing the possible impact of Brexit on the GDPR.
