The NZ–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is now active, creating new openings for New Zealand exporters in one of the Middle East’s most significant markets. To help businesses understand what this means in practice, we have shared a recent webinar held on 26 November 2025.
In this session, New Zealand exporters and business leaders with on-the-ground experience in the UAE discuss their key takeaways, practical advice, and what they have learned when operating in the region. If you are considering growth in the UAE or looking at the wider Middle East, the video provides valuable insights to support your planning.
Market snapshot
As at June 2025, two way trade between New Zealand and the UAE was close to NZD 1.2 billion. New Zealand’s major exports to the UAE include dairy products, milk preparations, pasta, baked goods and mechanical machinery. With CEPA now in force, 98.5 percent of New Zealand goods can enter the UAE duty free, increasing to 99 percent within three years.
