Korean listing requirements for all foreign food facilities

As of 4 February 2016, the Korean Imported Food Law came into force requiring that all food products for human consumption intended for export to Korea must be sourced from premises registered with the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).  From 3 August 2016 food products from NZ premises that are not registered with MFDS will not be cleared for entry.
The registration process for premises that manufacture meat, processed meat products and dairy products is a government to government process between MFDS and the Ministry for Primary Industries.  MPI is advising animal product processors of the registration requirement through an OMAR notification.

Global Competencies and Economic Integration

Twenty-first century industries and businesses will require an increasing number of employees with sophisticated linguistic and cultural skills and global experience alongside technical, business, and interpersonal skills. These skills are prerequisites for international growth, global operations, and the efficient functioning of diverse workforces. There is a concern that currently, education systems across the Asia Pacific region are not producing sufficient individuals with these skills to meet current and future business needs.

To help address this gap, the Asia Pacific Economic Forum (APEC) is undertaking a survey to assess the current and future demand for linguistic and inter-cultural awareness skills of businesses in the region.

New Zealand business executives and human resources managers are invited to participate in the survey which is available here. The survey has 15 questions, of which 12 are multiple choice and 3 require minimal text entries. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.  Responses by 24 June 2016 would be appreciated.

Whistling While They Work 2: improving managerial responses to whistleblowing in public and private sector organisations

This first step is a short Survey of Organisational Processes & Procedures which can be accessed by clicking this link: www.whistleblowing.edu.au/survey.  The survey can also be found on the project website, www.whistlingwhiletheywork.edu.au, along with further information on the project as a whole.  The survey is open until 30 June 2016.
