The ongoing global pandemic is continuously causing supply chain disruptions and constraints to international trade within the exporting and manufacturing communities. This has impacted financially on businesses and their plans for growth.

We invite you to join us and hear from our Strategic Partner, BNZ on how their support and offerings could help your business through these challenging times and assist in mitigating credit risk to your business.

They will be joined by Chris Edwards from Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation to discuss supply chain constraints and future predictions in this area. Craig van Asch from Exeloo Limited will then share his supply chain challenges and discuss how BNZ has assisted his business during these times.

The session will conclude with a 30-minute Q&A discussion.

Jason Reeves

Head of Export Business Development

Jason Reeves leads the BNZ’s engagement with the export sector, a strategic growth focus for the bank assisted by a nationwide cohort of export/trade conversant bankers.   In addition, he serves as a Vice Chair of the Japan New Zealand Business Council.  Prior to joining the BNZ, Jason was employed by New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) and held the position of New Zealand Trade Commissioner to Japan based in Tokyo.  Before joining NZTE Jason spent eight years at Fonterra holding management positions in the Supply Chain and Global Sales Division with a focus on the Asia Pacific region. Jason’s passion at the BNZ is supporting business to land, launch and grow in international markets through the combination of capability, connections and capital.

Maree Erskine

Trade Specialist, BNZ

Maree is a banking specialist, providing, International Trade expertise and solutions to businesses across a whole range of industries to help them achieve their strategy.

Her 20 years’ experience in banking, majority of that working as an International Trade Specialist, assisting importers and exporters to understand the risks associated with international trade and the various tools available to manage these risks, devise effective structures for funding international trade transactions, and establish systems to efficiently manage international payment flows and foreign exchange.

Chris Edwards

President, Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Federation

Chris Edwards is co-founder of The GO Logistics Group, a New Zealand owned company with offices in New Zealand, Australia and China. He joined CBAFF to participate in advocating for the logistics industry and attempt to put a spotlight on the supply chain as a rewarding profession.

Craig van Asch

Director, Exeloo Limited

Craig started his export career with Feltex in 1998 working across Asia, the Pacific and Middle East and USA. He then joined leading Agritech exporter Tru-Test Ltd before moving to ITW as marketing lead for Australasia for the Paslode brand. Craig joined Exeloo in 2016 to deliver an export led growth programme and successfully completed an MBO of the company with business partner Andy Harris in April 2020. “Supply Chain Pain for SME manufacturers in NZ is a ticking time bomb and requires strategic focus”.
