Better Exporting Seminar – Incoterms Essentials

If you want to learn more about International Commercial Terms, or Incoterms for short, join us for our first Better Exporting Seminar for 2019 ‘Incoterms Essentials’. Our speakers will share their different perspectives and views on the importance of selecting and correctly using Incoterms when exporting around the globe.

Even before a sale is finalised it is essential to understand the Incoterms used in international trade, to make sure you’re using what will work best for your business, commodity and the market.

This session will cover the basics and ensure you understand your risks and obligations when dealing in each of the most common Incoterms, as well as provide references for future and more detailed analysis, if required.

In particular, we will look at the following in detail:

– Basics of Incoterms and their use

– Secure Export Scheme – the advantages to exporters/ what’s involved in the application process

– Shipping terms used on entries, mainly the use of Free on Board (FoB)

– The change to Administrative Penalties on export entries under the new 2018 Customs and Excise Act

– The effect of Brexit, from Customs.
